Frequently asked questions
Short answers about swapping, buying, selling and shipping.
Getting started
What is GoSwapCards?
A marketplace where collectors buy, sell and swap trading cards.
You can also keep your whole collection and your binders in one place.
How GoSwapCards worksDoes it cost anything to add my cards?
No. Creating an account, adding cards and tracking your collection is free.
You only pay when you do a deal. iDEAL, Bancontact and cards cost nothing extra.
See all feesIn which countries can I use GoSwapCards?
Deals ship between addresses in the countries of the European Union.
You need an address in one of them to buy, sell or swap.
Swapping
How does a swap work?
Pick the cards you want from another collector and offer cards of your own.
When they accept, you both pay the trade fee and ship your cards.
The Active Deal page shows both of you what the next step is.
How GoSwapCards worksCan I add money to a swap?
Yes. That is a hybrid deal: cards plus a cash difference when the values do not match.
The one who pays adds 3% on top of the money. The other collector receives the money minus 3%.
What does a swap cost?
Each collector pays a service fee: € 2,99 for a direct swap. With SecureSwap it is € 7,99, or € 3,99 plus € 1 per extra card when your own cards are worth under € 50 and no cash is added.
With SecureSwap each card above 5 costs € 2. From € 250 the forwarding from the hub carries a high-value fee of 1,5% of the card value, with a minimum of € 4,95.
Shipping is added at checkout. Abroad you pay the real label price; a direct-swap label abroad costs € 0,99 extra.
See all feesWhat is SecureSwap?
With SecureSwap you both send your cards to the GoSwapCards Hub, not to each other.
We record what arrives, check it, and forward the cards only when both sides are in order.
It costs more than shipping directly, because every card travels twice. It is best suited for higher-value swaps.
How GoSwapCards worksBuying
What do I pay when I buy a card?
The card price, the shipping you choose with its shipment protection, and the service fee: 3% of the card price plus € 0,75 per order.
Within the Netherlands, for orders under € 100: a letterbox parcel with tracking for € 5,45, or a parcel from € 10,45. Abroad you pay the real shipping price plus € 2,99.
One loose card under € 30 can also go by letter for € 3,75 (abroad € 4,75), without tracking. Checkout shows the exact total before you pay.
See all feesCan GoSwapCards check a card before I get it?
Yes, for card purchases from € 50. Sealed products are excluded.
With the Authentication Service the seller ships to our hub first. We check the card and then forward it to you. This is an authenticity check, not a grading certificate.
It costs € 7,99 for up to 5 cards, plus € 2 for each extra card. You also pay the 3% service fee, without the fixed part. Shipping to and from the hub is added at checkout.
See all feesThe card is missing, damaged or not what I ordered. What now?
Do not confirm receipt. Open the order and choose Report a problem.
Keep the package and take clear photos. Support may ask for them.

What does selling cost?
You pay 3% of your asking price, with a minimum of € 0,50 per order. It is taken out of your payout.
If the buyer chooses the letter, you post it yourself and receive € 2,95 (abroad € 4,25) for the postage.
See all feesWhen do I get paid?
The money is released when the buyer confirms receipt.
If the buyer does nothing, the money is released automatically: up to 48 hours after confirmed delivery, or 30 days after dispatch if there is no delivery scan.
A deal that is paused for a review takes longer. After release, the transfer to your bank account can take some extra time.
What do I need before I can sell?
Three things: your email and phone number, the address you ship from, and your bank account so we can pay you.
You set this up once, in My Account.
How do I pick the right condition?
Use the condition guide. It shows Near Mint, Lightly Played, Moderately Played, Heavily Played and Damaged with examples.
In doubt between two? Pick the lower one.

How do I ship my cards?
Checkout shows which shipping methods you can pick. That depends on what you send and on the value.
Up to 5 loose cards, or one slab under € 75, can go by letterbox parcel with tracking. Anything else goes as a parcel, and from € 250 with a signature on delivery.
Buying only: one loose card under € 30 may go by letter, also abroad. A letter has no tracking and travels at your own risk.
Open the shipping guideHow should I pack a card?
Sleeve the card, put it in a toploader or semi-rigid, and add cardboard on both sides.
Seal the envelope or box well. Never put a loose card in an envelope.
Open the shipping guideShould I take photos before I ship?
Yes, we strongly recommend it. Photograph the front and back of each card and the sealed package. Film the packing in one continuous video.
Keep the files until the deal is completely finished. You only share them if a problem is reported.
My package has not arrived. What can I do?
Check the latest tracking scan first.
Still stuck? Open a support ticket and keep your tracking number at hand.
A letter without tracking cannot be traced. That risk is with the sender.
Go to SupportCan I cancel a deal after it is accepted?
Only if the other collector agrees. You can send a cancellation request.
If they decline, the deal continues and you still complete your part.
